The purpose of the contest is promotion of research work among undergraduate and graduate students in all the fields of research that are interesting for company Trimo.
- ARCHITECTURE (e.g. contemporary steel architecture, mobile architecture, light design, sustainable architecture, modern façade envelope design, interactive building façades)
- INDUSTRIAL DESIGN (e.g. integrated design, modern design of envelope)
- CONSTRUCTION / CIVIL ENGINEERING (e.g. modern building materials, thin-layer façades, nanotechnology in the field of construction, sustainable construction, composite constructions)
- MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ( e.g. new technologies for product and systems for envelope on the buildings, composite material for civil engineering technologies)
- BUSINESS (e.g. internationalization, marketing, innovation management, innovation culture)
THE PROCESS OF SELECTION
Committee for the research work shall submit the received research works to the experts in different fields, to make a review and together with them appraise and award the best works. Prize-winners shall receive money award. Furthermore, summary of their research work shall be published in Trimo Research Awards brochure.
The research works, considering the up-to-date achievements of the science, new approaches and solutions, enabling Trimo to use them in the practical work, and of which results shall contribute to further success of the company will be reviewed.
The prize-winners will be informed of winning the award until end of May 2012. The prize-winners should give one printed version of the research work to Trimo and by prior arrangement present it in public.
APPLICATION
The candidates may apply not later than March 18th, 2012.
The committee shall consider the submitted works, which have been efficiently appraised by the adequate committee, within the period from January 1st 2011 to December 31st 2011.
The application should contain printed and electronic version of the research work in English or native language, summary in English language and mentor’s written recommendation in English language. Summary in English should contain main stresses of the work (5000-10000 characters without spaces).
The candidates apply by fulfilling application form on www.trimo-researchawards.com/en and send the printed version of the diploma paper, expert work, dissertation or doctoral thesis until March 18th 2011, to the address:

By application, candidates agree that if their work is rewarded, at the invitation of the company, Trimo, they will participate in the activities of communicating with various sectors of the community (the media, Trimo employees, the business world, and the academic world), for at least one year. This means that they will participate in written and/or verbal and/or electronic communication (interviews, answers to questions, statements), on the subject of Trimo Research Awards.
